I want to love the Earth more, really I do. But for those of us who aren't automatically in the 24/7 eco-friendly mindset, sometimes trying to "be green" is a lot like forcing yourself to eat your greens - we do it because we know it's the right thing to do, but we're dragging our heels a bit at the extra effort involved. Sure, I reduce, reuse and recycle but know that there is so much more out there that I could be doing, I'm just not aware of precisely what these other things are (and to be honest, I'm not exactly tripping over myself to find this info). Which is why I love it when I stumble upon enlightening and engaging resources that help me figure this whole "being green" thing out, because eco-friendly acts involve quite a bit more then making the claim "I shop at Whole Foods" (and yes, that is my predominant eco-friendly claim to fame).
And this is also why I'm excited that I have a new favorite blog to follow - Sweet Greens. Fellow blogger Jen covers a wide array of topics through the lens of living a more earth-friendly life in a wonderfully engaging, non-preachy format. From learning about biodynamic wines to finding info about which body care ingredients you need to avoid, Sweet Greens is a wealth of information that's easily digestible (and likely bio-degradable). Oh, and she has the BEST giveaways too - yet another great reason to become a fan of her blog!
Speaking of giveaways, you'll want to check out the great one she's got going on right now - click here for the chance to win a FREE Urban Lola Tote! The Urban Lola is my market bag of choice (and not simply because I make 'em) - perfect to schlep to the farmer's market (or Whole Foods) or quite frankly anywhere. Be sure to visit Sweet Greens for the chance to win!
